Sustainable Practice

At Patrick McDowell, sustainability is not a separate initiative but a principle that runs through the entire brand. We believe luxury should unite creativity and exceptional craftsmanship with responsibility towards people and the planet. This commitment shapes how we work and how we think about the future of fashion.

Circularity

Our approach to circularity considers the entire life of a garment, from how it is made to how it can be repaired, altered and passed on. Each design is produced in limited quantities using carefully selected materials, with sustainability and longevity in mind.

We offer a refit and repair service for Patrick McDowell garments, including pieces being passed on to a family member or loved one. Our Bespoke service reworks heirloom textiles into new pieces, so that the garments and materials that matter to you can be worn and enjoyed for years to come.

‘It’s about understanding that we’re there for you when you want to redesign, repair or even clean your garment in the best way. The future of luxury is about being there for your clients in an authentic way’

Patrick McDowell

Materials & Innovation

Our collections are made using materials selected for their quality and lower environmental impact, with consideration for both the people who make and wear our clothes. Each piece comes with certification and traceability detailing the provenance of its fabrics, its makers and the miles travelled in transit, providing a transparent account of how and where it was produced.

Community

Community and craftsmanship underpin everything Patrick McDowell does. We work closely with skilled makers, artisans, clients and creative partners, combining traditional techniques with responsible practices. We believe creative success is collective, built through mutual respect and lasting relationships.
